Challenges for 2023 : Exploring New Heights

The new year has begun and I’m slow off the mark organising challenges for 2023 for me to do. Hopefully all fun but also challenging and unforgettable experiences. So here is the line-up of adventures and breath-taking hikes in the UK.

From the soaring peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowden to the rugged beauty of the West Highland Way, these hikes are designed to push your limits and test your resolve. For those who are up for a real challenge, we’re also offering the 3 Peaks Challenge and Snowden at Night.

Let’s grab our boots and get ready for the wanderings, conquer these peaks and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa in Welsh)

Sunday 12th February 2023

Located in Wales, Mount Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales, with its peak at 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level. A popular destination for hikers and adventurers, offering a challenging climb with stunning views. However, some routes are not for the feint-hearted, and require preparation and a good level of fitness.

Saturday classes finish at 12 midday so I decided, last minute as usual, to head Snowdonia and see if I could walk up Snowdon.

Well, it wasn’t a “walk” that’s for sure! The Blog post is coming and I’ll link it here when it’s done.

On the way back down the mountain you will be able to take in breath-taking views and then finish with a delicious celebration breakfast and perhaps even some bubbly!

This is truly a trek with a difference, as trekking by night brings a fresh twist to this challenge and makes it even more rewarding.

Having been a resident-by-proxy of Perthshire, this mountain was always a prominent feature in the distance from Muirlodge Place and the village of Kinloch Rannoch. A very special place and goosebumps and emotion are coming up just typing this…. I need to go back!
